Front Range Consortium Supercomputing Facilities
- IBM BlueGene/L, three racks with total 6,144 cores. Front end with 4 POWER
5 nodes, disk array, and connection to NCAR's mass storage. The
computer is located at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in
Boulder.
- Coming in 2010: SUN Blade Constellation, 10 racks with
Nehalem/Westmere CPUs, total about 10,000 cores, and aggregate performance of over 150TeraFLOP/s. Disk array with raw capacity 768 TB. The computer
will be located at CU Boulder.
The Front Range Consortium supercomputers are funded by joint NSF
grants to UCD, CU Boulder, and the
National Center for Atmospheric Research.
