I'm a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Computational Research Division, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), working with Chao Yang. I am involved in a number of FASTMath-SciDAC projects, with a focus on numerical solution of large-scale eigenvalue problems arising in electronic structure calculations.

My research interests span a range of areas related to matrix computations, such as numerical linear algebra and optimization, graph algorithms, data mining, matrix analysis, and high-performance computing. Most of my work has been in the field of preconditioned iterative methods for linear systems and eigenvalue problems.

Before joining LBNL, I was a postdoc with Yousef Saad and Masha Sosonkina at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Minnesota, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Georgia State University.
I have a Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, University of Colorado Denver, advised by Andrew Knyazev.
